The Creative Year 2015

Oct – 2015 -

This has been a very creative year for me. Starting from bringing to life a children’s picture book (Jake’s Kindergarten Checkup) to weaving more for pleasure. I’ve done lots of fun stuff that I can’t wait to give away to family and friends during this Holiday Season. Here are some photos to share:
This is a very complicated and intricate pattern to execute but very pleased with the results. They are gifted to the educator of my Healthy Chats team. Heather, Antoinette, Stacy and Linda – an amazing group of ladies who are dedicated and passionate about helping others.                                          One of these scarf was also given to Helane F. a very unique lady who has helped the entire family.

A series of scarf were woven with Tercel and Chenille as gifts for the Holidays. One for my forever graphic designer, Aaron in NY, one for a dear family friend Fa. Soriano in Milwaukee and of course one for Jeff and other family members. Really fun project to weave.

This picture doesn’t due justice to this lovely, amazing machine – A computerize 40 in /16 harness AVL loom. A joy to work on and reliable as can be. Andrew and I set up over a weekend almost 13 years ago and it is still going strong. A wonderful craft.

Scarfs are one of my favorite items to weave. I weave them for friends and family to celebrate special occasions like for our trip to France.

This picture doesn't do justice to this lovely shawl which was given as a surprise to a bride. Few times does a weaving turn out more beautiful than expected.
